Era il 2004 quando uscì il libro “Giardini pensili” scritto da Paolo Abram per questa collana. Era il primo libro tecnico in italiano sul tema. Sono molto grato a Paolo Abram, perché è stato lui ad aprirmi una porta dietro la quale mi stava aspettando il sentiero che sto percorrendo da allora, prima inconsapevolmente, poi via via in maniera sempre più chiara ed evidente. Dopo quel libro, in questa collana hanno trovato spazio altri volumi che intrecciano l’elemento vegetale al costruito, a indicare con sempre maggior consapevolezza che una delle strade più efficaci per affrontare i problemi posti dalla cultura ecologica del costruire, si trova nel rapporto sempre più stretto con l’elemento vegetale. Il sentiero dell’architettura porta nella foresta. Questa è l’idea che ha fatto nascere anche un’altra avventura editoriale, quella della rivista Nemeton High Green Tech che quindi trova in quel libro del 2004 il suo primo seme. Da allora, molte cose sono cambiate in questo settore. Alcune amministrazioni italiane hanno introdotto sistemi per incentivare il verde pensile, Bolzano in testa, grazie allo stesso Abram che ha definito un metodo perfettamente utilizzabile anche in altre realtà. Ora esiste una norma UNI che costituisce finalmente un riferimento per la progettazione e la realizzazione. Quello che non è cambiato ancora è l’atteggiamento di diffidenza verso una tecnologia consolidata che fuori dall’Italia è ormai considerata tra i principali strumenti per la lotta all’inquinamento, alle polveri sottili, per il risparmio energetico e per il mitigamento del clima urbano. Ma noi, serenamente, mattone dopo mattone, o meglio, pagina dopo pagina, continuiamo nell’opera di fornire ai progettisti gli strumenti per proporre ai loro committenti soluzioni utili e, come si dice nel 2010, sostenibili.
